Key Discussions and Outcomes
Work Package 3 (WP3), led by FH Joanneum, focused on developing modularized content for the Next-Generation Community Makerspaces. The team set a final deadline of April 26th, 2024, for the submission of 18 digital course materials. These courses are aimed at empowering students to work independently on innovative projects, with Makerspaces acting as hubs for community-driven solutions.
Work Package 4 (WP4), led by Curt Nicolin Gymnasiet, explored the role of teachers as innovation role models. A co-creative workshop was held to discuss how educators can foster an innovative mindset in their schools and communities. Upcoming workshops in May 2024 will focus on upskilling teachers and building stronger partnerships between schools and businesses.
Work Package 5 (WP5), presented by School Centre Nova Gorica, emphasized the Sprint Piloting process, where students and teachers collaborate on real-world projects within six community makerspaces across Slovenia, Austria, and Sweden. This work package aims to bring innovation directly into local communities by connecting educational institutions with businesses and regional authorities.
The workshop concluded with a focus on Work Package 6 (WP6), highlighting the project’s dissemination strategy, including the upcoming EU Pioneering Ideas Competition, set for November 2024.
In addition to these discussions, participants had an opportunity to see FH Joanneum.
Participants also visited Biobank Graz, Science Park Graz, and Green Village gaining insights into cutting-edge research and startup initiatives.
Biobank Graz is one of the largest banks of human tissue and fluids, contributing to the advancement of medical research.
